Asian Art Museum — last chance to see Afghanistan show for free

The Asian Art Museum is free on the first Sunday of every month, which this month will be January 4.

I haven’t seen the Afghanistan show yet, but I’ve heard very good things about it. It’s closing on January 25, so this will be the last time to see it on a free Sunday.

When and Where: Sunday, January 4, 10 am to 5 pm. Asian Art Museum, 200 Larkin Street.

What: Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures from the National Museum, Kabul

Logistics: It might be crowded. The Museum says that admission is not guaranteed, so it may be good to get there before noon and/or to expect a line.

The Museum also has reduced admission (only $5) every Thursday evening from 5 pm to 9 pm.
